We are Bespoke Furniture Makers for Homes in the Leeds area.
We are a young, design-led company based just 30 minutes from Leeds in Otley. We are proud to be trusted for our craftsmanship, attention to detail, and down-to-earth service.
We are different from some national brands as we offer a truly bespoke service - we don't use fixed-size components and wedge these into your space with fillers, we design completely for your space. We can add bespoke detailing such as inlays or walnut linings and spend time getting your design just as you want it.
We use 3D software to create a design to help you visualise your furniture. We build and construct the furniture in our workshop ready to be fitted in your home. This means that any mess is limited your end and it's also reasonably quick and straightforward to install. If you are choosing a spray-painted finish then we can spray any colour you require in our on-site spray booth.

Thoughtful materials, and dovetail joints are used for drawers. We finish everything with care, to the final coat of lacquer. There are no shortcuts just good, honest work, designed to sit quietly and do its job beautifully.
We take on a limited number of projects each year so we can give every client our full attention. We take both the time in the design and the making to ensure your furniture is beautiful, provides the exact functionality you require and delivered in a fun effortless way for you the client.

BACKGROUND
Tektōn was started in 2020, just post pandemic with the clear objective of creating beautifully handmade furniture with carefully considered design.
The founder, Douglas, trained as a cabinet maker with world-renowned Waters and Acland in the Lake District, and then worked at a number of high end furniture companies as a bespoke furniture maker, before starting Tektōn. Below are some of the furniture projects that Douglas produced on the course. He brings his attention to detail and love of the craft into his fitted furniture.
Douglas works from his workshop in West Yorkshire and lives with his family in Otley.
